"Adventures with Snowgran"

“An Amazing Author Visit & Customizable Show for Your School Assemblies or Library Programs”

Inspire Your Children with Adventures Through Books

Let’s face it: Author visits for children can be hit or miss. If the children’s author merely sits down and reads from their book, that’s okay…but not too exciting. What if your school or library’s next author visit was an incredible interactive adventure?

That’s what I bring to your school or library with my author visits.

I’m September Cardiff, AKA Miss September & Friends. As a children’s book author, I know how important it is to get the little ones’ imaginations running! My very first book, “Stella the Snowgran,” gets kids excited about this story and reading.

But an author visit? That’s different.

My “Adventures with Snowgran” show features plenty of interactive fun for everyone who attends. Further, I challenge your kids to reach inside their imaginations, find stories they never knew they had, and take those adventures "Up In The Attic" with all my friends. Check out what one past client said after my visit:

"We absolutely loved having Miss September at our summer camp. She was the highlight of our summer! The entire show is filled with creativity that kept the attention of all students"  -  Heather Dudley, Adair County FRYSC

But you might be wondering how my author

visit shows are different from so many others…

5 Ways My Author Visits Will Captivate Your Children

With all the different forms of entertainment I bring, I guarantee your kiddos will be glued to me as soon as the show starts (well, not literally glued because…ouch…). You’ll be amazed at just how attentive your kids are.

When you’re in front of children as often as I am, you gotta grab their attention…and hold it. With tablets and phones providing hours of entertainment (until your battery dies), it’s harder than ever to engage a live audience. But I don’t just sit and read from my books. Nope.

Here are just a few things I do to make sure your kiddos are glued to me the entire time:

  1. Customizable Theme – What theme is your school or library promoting? Let me know and the Snowgran will dress in a costume that matches your theme! (Oh yeah, many author visits include costumes and…)

  2. Puppets – Kids adore my puppets! Each is fun, colorful, and guaranteed to charm even your older kids. The Snowgran has a unique character and way of behaving that your kids will love. Plus she’s just so cute!

  3. Magic – That’s right, I perform magic during my shows! I use magic to illustrate story points, characters, plots, and pro-reading messages. The magic serves as an illustration of what I’m communicating to the kids. They love it!

  4. Songs – In addition to writing and publishing books, I’m also a singer/songwriter! In every appearance, I sing my original songs, get the children to join in, and more. It’s one more way to get everyone in on the fun.

  5. Interactive Fun – I love working with kids on stage! At every “Adventures with Snowgran” appearance, I bring a lot of volunteers up to help with the magic and fun. And I get the entire audience involved too.

Extra Add-Ons to Make This Incoming Author Visit One Your Students Remember

When visiting a school, I like to connect with students as much as I can. To enhance the visit and make it extra special, here are a few additional things I can do:

  • Lunch With the Author – I’ll meet students in your school’s library for lunch. This can be an extra treat for kids who hit certain reading goals or some other incentive. During lunch, they can ask questions, learn a few magic secrets, meet some of my puppet friends up close, and just have fun!

  • Classroom Visits – I can meet some of your older students in the library. I’ll share my journey of becoming an author and performer. Using special props and pictures, I’ll motivate them to find whatever their passion is on the inside, whatever it may be. And of course I’ll answer any questions your kiddos have.
