How Puppetry Helps Develop Life Skills Your Students Need

Puppetry is much more than just playing around with adorable characters. Puppetry helps your campers develop and fine-tune crucial life skills they’ll need as adults.

Developing a puppet character helps a child engage their imagination. Creative exercises like this are important for cognitive development. But that’s not all. Puppetry helps children improve their language skills.

As they give their puppets voice (and converse with their puppets), they learn proper pronunciation, diction, and elocution. Puppets even improve social skills! As they ‘listen’ to their puppet, children learn active listening skills.

Finally, puppetry helps children develop healthy self-esteem. Learning a new school helps kids feel good about themselves.
